COALITION OF EAGLE COUNTY SERVICE PROVIDERS
TO OFFER A COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR
May 7 event to help people get back to work
(EDWARDS) – Private and public sector partners are joining forces in May to offer a Community Resource Fair at the Miller Ranch Community Center, 0025 Mill Loft Road, Edwards, on May 7 from 1 PM to 7 PM. During the afternoon, a wide array of services and resources will be provided.
The event is intended to be a lifeline in tough economic times says Frisco Workforce Center director Rosemary Pettus. “We’re bringing together experts to offer assistance on a number of topics. Résumé assistance, interviewing skills and learning about training opportunities are just a few of the services that will be provided.”
Among the participating organizations are Legal Aid, Eagle County Health and Human Services, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Eagle Care Clinic, and Colorado Mountain College. Attorneys will also be available for free consultation and advice.
Rosemary Pettus says that this event will be helpful on a number of fronts. “More than 2000 individuals are out of work in the Eagle County area and job seekers outnumber job openings,” she says. “That’s why the the information and assistance that we will be offering is so important. The event will provide assistance in coping with the loss of a job and strategies for improving your chances of getting back to work.”
